3D-Printers have been around for decades. But it's just in the past few years that they have begun to take consumer-friendly, affordable form. Even better, there are open-source schematics available to follow, thanks to projects like RepRap.
3D printing is in a unique state: nascent, but still obscure and and untrodden by mainstream markets and their decaying effects.
The Plan Our goal is to source and assemble 3-4 Prusa i3 printers for the school. Over the course of the X-Term, we'll learn how to use CAD software to design our own 3D models for and print them.
What We'll Use The Money For
The money raised will go to:
Purchase kits to assemble our i3 printers.
Purchase plastic filament to fuel our printers.
Purchase any require CAD software licenses.
