Dear Parents and Community Members:

Prom season is fast approaching.  This year’s Junior/Senior prom is on Saturday, May 3rd, and our high school PTSA is working hard to ensure a memorable and safe post-prom experience for your sons, daughters, friends, and neighbors. 

Please do your part by encouraging your child to attend OJR’s post-prom party and prevent attendance at a private party.  The fact is, today's society allows easy access to alcohol and drugs, and peer pressure is extremely high on prom night, possibly leading to regretfully bad decisions. We at the PTSA are working hard to ensure a fun and fabulous evening for all our prom attendees!

We are asking that every family buy 5 tickets for themselves and try to encourage at least 5 people to visit the page and purchase tickets.  Share the link with grandparents, friends, co-workers... Please understand that this is a major fundraiser for the Post Prom event, and if we are not able to sell enough tickets, this truly worthwhile activity might not continue at the level we wish to provide our children.

Many volunteers and a good deal of funding are needed to provide food, entertainment, activities, chaperones, music, and decorations that make this a fun and exciting event.  We also ask that you consider participating even if your child is not attending this year so the event will be available in the future when your child is involved.  To get involved, or for more information, contact Louise Capaldo at [email protected].

This is a night of memories that will last a lifetime.  Please help the PTSA to ensure these are great memories for all of our students.
