NO LONGER ACCEPTING PURCHASES TODAY -- FRIDAY MAY 16TH.3D-Printers have been around for decades, but it's only recently that they've become consumer-friendly and affordable.
The PlanOur goal is to source and assemble
Prusa i3 printers for our high school,
Montessori High School. Over the course of the term, we'll be building these printers and learning how to use CAD software to design 3D models.
What We'll Use The Money ForThe money raised will mainly go towards:
- hardware the printers
- plastic filament for printing
- potential CAD licensing
Building Risks
We'll give you the printer at the end of x-term in early June.
Although we are confident that we will be able to deliver a worker printer for the first prize, there is a chance that the resulting printer will not be finished or fully functional. If that is the case, we'll work with you to get it up and running.
The Prusa i3 printer is a machine, not an appliance. If you are not comfortable with the idea of calibrating the printer and maintaining it, please do not claim the Prusa as your prize.
