Maine Maritime Museum enjoys the support of almost 250 seasonal and year-round volunteers. With their help the museum has achieved World Class status! Now it's time to support the volunteer program! Money raised by purchasing a raffle ticket(s) goes toward off-setting the operational cost affiliated with running this great program. Thanks to these funds we are able to provide operational items such as study materials, shirts, food and beverages, coffee, and the volunteer management software. All things that make this a fun, efficient AND organized program that our volunteers are proud to be a part of!

What You Could Win

  • Four plate print series of the Battle of the USS Constitution and the HMS Java

A recently and tastefully re-framed, 4 plate print series of the battle between USS Constitution and HMS Java. Each 29 X 26 inch print sequentially depicts the highlights of this naval battle fought on December 29, 1812. The Constitution was victorious that day, but the prints, actually commissioned by the British, enable them to explain that the Java, out-gunned and out-manned, stood no chance against a superior force.
