On Sunday June 30th 2013, 19 members of the Granite Mountain Hotshots, part of the Prescott Fire Department, lost their lives while battling the 2,000-acre Yarnell Hill fire that ignited south of Prescott.  This is the largest tragedy in Fire department history since 9-11. After learning of the deaths of 19 of our brothers we felt the necessity to try and be involved in the healing process for their families.

As such, we contacted a very talented artist of Smoke Eater Customs, to hand paint a memorial helmet that honored each of the heroes who gave their lives to their community. Attached is a picture of just one of the helmets.  The helmets are hand painted and take over 15 hours to make.

We commissioned to have 25 of these helmets made.  We will present a helmet to each of the families that lost a hero, as well as one to the only surviving member of the team. In addition to presenting the memorial helmets to the families, we are raffling the remaining 5 to raise money for them.

The Raffle will be held in June 2014. Each ticket costs $10. All of the proceeds will be donated to the families of the 19 fallen firefighters.

Thanks so much for considering our organization as we try to honor our brothers who gave the ultimate sacrifice!
