Some of you may already know that our 4 year old granddaughter, Frankie, has Rett Syndrome.  This is a very rare disease that almost exclusively affects girls.  It is caused by a mutation on the “X" Chromosome.  It is not likely she will be able to speak or communicate normally (although anyone who knows her knows that she can communicate in her own special way) nor will she be able to walk without the aid of assistance.  All this to say, we have started a website, www.frankiesaysfightrett.org to help raise awareness and support for Rett Syndrome and Frankie.

Recently Frankie was accepted into a program in Oakland, CA called Katie’s Clinic.  It is one of only a handful in the USA.  It is part of the UCSF Medical Center.  We are excited about this but it will take some money to travel down there periodically for care, testing and treatment.

Breedlove Guitars have graciously provided a beautiful 2014 Stage Concert Series Acoustic/Electric Guitar for us to raffle off.  Raffle tickets are only $25 each and we will stop selling them when we hit 160 tickets.  That gives everyone pretty good odds of winning we think.

Even if you aren’t a guitar player, this is a work of art with beautiful tone woods, Abalone inlays and binding, as well as an incredible sound.  Just hanging it on a wall is cool.  If you play, even better.  The drawing will be done on the Fourth of July 2014 using www.randompicker.com.  This is a cool and very fair way for the winner’s name to be drawn.
