Between Tuesday, October 14, 2014 and Sunday, November 30, 2014, about 250 tickets will be sold to enter this raffle. Your chances of winning one of the multiple guaranteed prizes are 1 in 250, but your odds improve with every ticket you buy, as do the opportunities for a) cancer research and b) the girls on our team to participate in local, state, and national competitions.

The drawing for all raffle prizes will take place on Sunday, November 30. You NEED NOT be present to win, but are encouraged to come to attend the event to enjoy some food, friends and golf.

The South Florida Owls are a competitive 14u fastpitch travel softball team. As an organization, we are committed to (i) teaching the rules and skills required to excel at girls fast pitch softball; (ii) encouraging self-confidence and determination; (iii) teaching our players about the value good sportsmanship and teamwork plays in working toward common goals; and (iv) giving our players the opportunity to donate their time and efforts to help the world around them, even if just in some small way.

To that end, the team is hosting this raffle to (i) help defray the cost of equipment, uniforms, training, travel and tournament expenses; and (ii) support the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event.

A portion of all proceeds raised through this raffle will be donated to the American Cancer Society. At the conclusion of the Golf Tournament & Fundraiser, The South Florida Owls will present the winner with a check to present to the American Cancer Society. The donations we raise together will enable investment in groundbreaking breast cancer research, free information and services for women diagnosed with the disease, and access to mammograms for women who need them. Together, our donations will help more than 2.9 million breast cancer survivors celebrate another birthday this year!
