The Foster Adoptive Parent Association of Palm Beach County, FAPA, was "Awarded NFPA 2013 Local Foster Parent Association of the Year". Our mission is to provide support and education that will enhance the services of the
foster care system and empower foster children to become productive
members of society.
Foster & Adoptive Parent Association was incorporated in 1986 after several years of concerned foster parents meeting in their garages or living rooms attempting to sup-port one another and improve the foster care system. These grass root efforts included improving the relationship with the state child welfare system, providing support and information 24 hours a day to foster families, and to providing special activities that would enhance the in-care experience for children in foster care.
FAPA believes that every child deserves stability, love, compassion and a future filled with hope. All our services are based on these beliefs. FAPA provides direct services including emergency bags, lifebooks, Michelle's Project, training, events, Christmas gifts, birthday gifts, Back to School bash, services to relative caregivers and much more.
