United Way of Genesee County (UWGC) is a health and human service nonprofit, serving the residents of Genesee County, Michigan by raising the funds needed to continue critical support in four focus areas; Education, Health, Financial Stability and Basic Needs.  

Help us reach our goal of improving over 50,000 lives in Genesee County!

In addition to the core support areas the United Way provides nonprofit sector capacity support through; aligned fiduciary services; grants that support human service sector systems; and the BEST Project. To achieve the core mission, the United Way raises funds through workplace campaigns, direct mail and major gift solicitations, foundation allocations, corporate giving and event fundraisers. 

Last year, UWGC had an impact in Genesee County of over $9.2 million, lets keep it going!

OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS

Of the United Way of Genesee County’s Flint Built Truck Raffle

A complete list of rules and regulations for this raffle are contained in this document. In addition, these Rules and Regulations can be obtained from United Way of Genesee County’s website www.unitedwaygenesee.org. 

1.       Everyone 18 years and older is eligible to purchase tickets with the exception of any paid employee of United Way of Genesee County.

2.        A minimum of 3,000 Truck Raffle Tickets will be sold beginning June 16, 2014 through October 11, 2014.  Five tickets from the total number of tickets sold will be randomly selected and numbered 1 through 5, #1 will be the winning ticket.

3.       The winner must provide United Way with two types of proper identification (e.g. driver license, Social Security card, voter registration card, etc.-...). These must be furnished by the winner to verify his or her name, address, and social security number.

4.       The winner will be announced after completion of the drawing. The winner will be notified in person, by United States Mail or by telephone.  The winner need not be present to win.  If the winner does not claim or forfeits the prize from the United Way of Genesee County within 30 days after the drawing date, United Way of Genesee County will select ticket #2, #3, #4, and #5 until a winner claims prize.  

5.        The United Way of Genesee County reserves the right to revert to a 50/50 drawing if 3,000 tickets are not sold by the raffle date.

6.       All mailed entries to the United Way of Genesee County, PO Box 949, Flint, MI 48501, not received on or before October 11, 2014 become tax deductible donations to the United Way of Genesee County.  The United Way of Genesee County will not be responsible for late entries and will not refund donations made after October 11, 2014.

7.       Raffle tickets are $20.00 per ticket and can be paid by cash or check.  Checks must be written to The United Way of Genesee County.  Entry tickets can be obtained from the United Way of Genesee County, 810-232-8121 or any representative of the United Way of Genesee County.

8.       The United Way of Genesee County will make all decisions and interpretations of the rules and regulations and its judgment is final.

9.       See back or www.irs.gov for Federal Income Tax Withholding guidelines per fair market value of $41,529.00.

10.    The above amount will be given towards the purchase of a Flint Assembly  built truck (Chevrolet Silverado 1500 standard Z71 package ), which will be ordered. A  date will be set for winner to tour the plant and watch the truck as it is assembled. If winner would like more features added to the truck, it will be their responsibility to pay the additional costs.
