The Strategic Alliance for Burke Youth, or SABY, is a connector. This year has been a busy one for SABY as it broke ground in its first three communities. SABY has developed a strong core of leaders in Hildebran, Icard and Oak Hill who have defined a vision for their communities, identified needs, and begun work on projects. In this new third phase, SABY will develop a targeted program of intergenerational mentoring organized around specific community projects.
SABY is beginning its third phase of work in Burke County since its inception in 2009, focused on connecting local communities with the resources and best practices to inspire collaborative, citizen-driven efforts to create prosperous and healthy futures for youth.
