The Joseph P. Hurley School is a bilingual K-8 public school with approximately 350 students, located in the South End of Boston. Every year, the parent council, Padres en Acción, organizes at raffle at the school's annual Math & Science Fiesta (Fiesta de Ciencias y Matemáticas). Designed to generate student excitement in the fields of math and science, this event brings students and their families together with teachers for an evening of learning and fun. The proceeds from the raffle go to pay for class field trips. The more tickets we sell, the more chance we will have of reaching our goal to have every class get to go on at least one field trip. Raffle tickets are $2 each and prizes include a range of prizes donated by local businesses.
