There is a phrase that goes “whoever said diamonds are a girl’s best friend never owned a Boston Terrier.”

Nicole, foster mom to Tilly agrees. How could a cold, hard rock ever compare to the warm snuggles and sweet kisses from a little Boston Terrier whose little antics keep you smiling all day long even if nothing else is going right?

But once you’ve got your best pal, a diamond could come in handy too! This is especially true if you are looking to either treat yourself or someone special this holiday season.

And now you have a chance to have the diamond – for only $25 USD per ticket, you have a great chance to win one of three prizes in the Boston Terrier Rescue of Canada’s (BTRC) latest fundraising endeavor – the Winter Raffle!

The grand prize is a pair of 14K white gold diamond earrings. They were generously donated to BTRC by Shannon Lauzon and her furry crew Basil, Sophie, Lulu, Rufus, Betti and Beans. These beautiful earrings are appraised at $800!

You could call these beautiful earrings your own!

The second prize is a Pet Valu gift card for $500. They might not sell diamonds, but you’re sure to find many things in there for your prince or princess. Can you imagine the new beds, sweaters, treats and toys? They’ll be in dog heaven!

And, there is a third prize! It is a signed Brian Rubenacker Boston Terrier art print called “Bath Time” (8x10”) with a value of $25.

Any one of these fabulous prizes could be yours! And all you have to do is buy your tickets in support of BTRC.

BTRC takes in Boston Terriers that are abandoned, neglected, abused or can no longer be cared for by their owners. We provide them with a safe haven, medical care, training, support and TLC. Our ultimate goal is to match every dog with a permanent, loving home through our careful adoption process.

Our goal is to sell 200 tickets so that BTRC will be able to raise another $5,000 for the vet costs needed for BTs in our care. The monies raised will be used to help cover the costs for our little friends like Tilly who just had juvenile cataract surgery.

A three year old Boston-Terrier/French Bulldog mix, Tilly barely had any vision at all when she came into rescue. She would run into poles, signs, people or anything in her way on her walks. She would also get very frightened at any sound and spooked very easily. Despite her challenges, she loved playing by herself or with her foster brother.

On November 18, Tilly had her surgery and the next day she had full vision. With lots of love surrounding her, five eye drops, an eye lube every two hours, pain medicine and antibiotics she recovered remarkably. Two weeks later, she is down to two drops and an eye lube every six hours.

Now that she can see, Tilly loves her walks even more. She takes everything in - she loves sniffing every tree, every leaf and wants to meet every person and especially every dog!

Tilly has a new life thanks to people like you who donate so generously!

You can help little ones like Tilly when you buy your raffle tickets today!
They are only on sale until December 22 at 9:00 am EST. The lucky winners will be drawn by noon and be contacted by email or phone and announced on our Facebook page. BTRC will cover the cost of shipping to the winners.

*Please note that ticket price is in US dollars, and BTRC will receive the funds raised in US dollars.
