Micro-Tyco is the challenge created by the Wildhearts Foundation. Wildhearts supports developing countries in a unique way. They offer micro-loans to women in developing countries to enable them to start a business and support their family for the future. By empowering these women, Wildhearts sees a huge impact on a community with effects such as the creation of jobs, better care and schooling for children and women and families becoming self-supporting.  Wildhearts created the Micro-Tyco Challenge as another way to raise funds for these micro-loans.

By way of introduction, we are team of five second year trainee solicitors at Shoosmiths LLP (follow our progress on twitter @ShoosmithsGrads). Teams such as ours are given a micro-loan of £1, and are asked to raise as much money as possible from this sum during the month of February by coming up with creative ideas and reaching out to the community for help and support, just as the women that the Wildhearts Foundation supports must do. 


With the assistance of our team mentor, we spent January hunting down prize donations from our clients and contacts and we've managed to gather some amazing 'money can't buy' prizes which we are now raffling off, with 100% of the funds raised from the auction going direct to WildHearts.
