Chesterfield Glass Art 2013 Charity Initiative:

With inspiration from glass artist Jared DeLong's "Glass for Healing," I've been putting up glass on Facebook to raise money for some causes that are important to me: Research for breast cancer, prostate cancer, and juvenile diabetes. So far, we've had a very good amount of early participation. Artists are welcome to donate pieces for a cause of their choice.

My goal is to raise $5,000 for each charity by the end of the year. We started on November 20 and so far here's what we have:

  • Breast Cancer Research Foundation-$2,605 (52.10% of goal)
  • Prostate Cancer Foundation-$3,113 (62.26% of goal)
  • Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation-$1,952.50 (39.05% of goal)

Thanks to the artists who made awesome pieces that generated these funds and those who will in the future and a HUGE thank you to everybody who has participated by donating to these causes. I'm really looking forward to working with everybody on this project.

Thanks,
Simon
