My name is Nina. I am a 17 year old student at Booker T Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas Texas.

The Situation
Veterans encounter numerous difficulties when trying to transition from active duty into civilian life. They have trouble finding jobs, some become homeless and sadly, some end their lives. I would like to help reduce these issues.
What I am trying to accomplish
Raise awareness and funds to prevent veteran suicide, homelessness, and unemployment by working with a non-profit Veterans Aid organization named GallantFew and their primary awareness/fund-raising event, Run Ranger Run.
Why
Veterans sacrifice their lives to protect our freedom. These sacrifices have come with a price and they need help to resume a non-military lifestyle.
If we can prevent one veteran from ending their life, one veteran from being homeless, or one veteran from being unemployed, then this project will have been worthwhile.
