Our son Timothy Lee Blevins was born 15 weeks early on March 10th, 2015 at approximately 4p.m. weighing in at only 1 pound, 4 ounces. He is currently at Holy Cross in the NICU. Tim has a long road ahead of him before he is able to come home with his mother and father. I am separating from the military, and therefore will not have the privilege of affording the trips to the hospital to visit him, nor will I be able to afford the food or shelter to stay close by, much less afford the special care that he needs. Timothy has made some progress over the last week such as gaining a few ounces, and getting his white blood cell counts up to normal, but with every positive, there is a negative. He has two severe brain bleeds, and a hole in his heart. The doctors will administer spinal taps to decrease the swelling caused by the brain bleeds, and will give him medicine which will hopefully close the hole in his heart, but if the medicine fails, they will perform open heart surgery as a last resort. As stated before, Tim has a long road, and a long fight ahead of him in the weeks to come, but with your generous ticket purchases, he will not have to make this unimaginable fight alone. Thank you.
