Chris Bower is currently a pastor in Tallassee, AL. However, he and his family have now been called to serve a cross-cultural, English-speaking international church in Beirut, Lebanon. This church is made up of an amazing group of people from over 23 different nations. Many of these people are refugees and migrant workers who work as 'indentured servants' and serve at their employers' leisure. Because of this, the church is not able to provide a salary for its own pastor, so Chris and his family must raise their own funds.
In serving some of these refugees and migrant workers the church discovered that their children were being put in 'daycares' where they were being tied to chairs 8-10 hours a day. The church has since started its own daycare and is now serving around 70 children and their families (click this link to find out more
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xl_O7M74Y-A). Chris has been called as Senior Pastor of this international church to help expand these ministries and encourage the people who are currently there. Chris and Krista have three small children themselves from ages 1 to 6 years old.
