LABOUR DAY WEEKEND, MARCH 2016
The Brighter Days Mega Raffle will be drawn at the Brighter Days Festival on Sunday 13th March in the beautiful township of Bright, Victoria.  The festival is run by the Brighter Days Foundation which was formed in 2012 to offer support to two charities; the DEBRA Foundation (Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa Research Association) and SUDC (Sudden Unexplained Death In Childhood). Through a friend, whose child had been diagnosed with the debilitating EB disease, our band, the Smokin’ O’Briens were invited to play at a fundraiser “The Cotton Ball”. So touched were the musicians by those children on the night, a wider group of friends, who were also motorcycle and car enthusiasts, wanted to create a “vehicle” to do more. At the time of the committee’s formation, a member’s close friends had lost their son to SUDC, while another member had experienced first hand, the trauma of a very sick child. “Brighter Days” had begun… www.brighterdays.org.au

Now in its fourth year, the committee and some very passionate volunteers have managed to raise well over $200k through donations, auctions and events. The annual Brighter Days Festival is three days of family fun. Live entertainment, a “show and shine”, and this Harley Davidson raffle are just some of the many events that generate funding and awareness for these two important children’s charities.
