In 2014, during a short-term mission trip to Uganda, Africa, Chauntel felt that God was calling her to serve Him in a more profound way. She decided to sell the majority of her belongings to fund her trip, along with many others who donated with generous hearts, and move to Uganda in January of this year. As an intern at Okoa Refuge, in a little village called Masaka, she serves in many different ways from helping to build and rebuild houses in the local community to hosting the mission teams that come from the U.S. to volunteer.
Not only does she work so hard everyday, but she is very passionate about sharing the gospel with all those around her and has dedicated her life to the Lord, surrendering herself to whatever His will is for her. There are so many people around the world that have needs, both physical and spiritual and she has gone to the front lines to minster to these souls and pour the love of Jesus Christ into them. Every chance she has, she shares the beautiful truth of God's love and mercy and Jesus' power to redeem those who will call upon Him.
As Chauntel serves in Uganda, she relys on the financial support from those who are willing to contribute towards her cause. She appreciates everyone's generosity so much and is grateful for this opportunity she has had to give back in such a meaningful way, for the chance to serve our God with everything she has.
She is really excited to see someone blessed with this drawing's $500 prize!!
