On Sunday 14th June 2015 @415am, Joshua was taken into hospital with suspected meningitis. Joshua's blood test results came back at 6am and the devastating news that Joshua did not have meningitis but Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL for short). Joshua spent one night in St helier Hospital where he received a blood and platelet transfusion before being transferred to The Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton where he is currently receiving intense treatment which consists of chemotherapy, lumber puncture's bone marrow tests, steroids and blood and platelet transfusions. Money has already been raised to take Joshua and his family to disneyland after his treatment and on toys for the Royal Marsden hospital. Whenever Joshua is poorly he is taken to the Casey Ward at Epsom hospital which is his local hospital, the hospital only has two portable televisions per 10 beds and very little in the way of toys so our aim it to kit out the children's ward the best we can to make sure Joshua's and all the other children being treated there have things to play with and distract from their treatment.
