Founded in November 2011, Northern Ireland Battery Hen Rescue t/a Nut House Hen Rescue & Rehoming. Registered charity with the aim of saving as many hens from slaughter that we can.

Our aim is to rescue as many hens as we can from battery farms when they are culling. These hens will be placed in new homes where they will learn to be chickens, see daylight for the first time, stretch their wings for the first time, feel solid ground under their feet and be able to sunbathe and dirtbath. All the things a hen SHOULD be able to do.
