RAFFLE DRAWING WILL BE HELD MONDAY JULY 11 2016. Winner will be contacted by our group admin, Jess. OUR STORY:
"It takes a Village", or so the saying goes, and any mom who has tried to raise their children in a new city or without family support nearby knows how very true this is. In today's world, families are spread across the globe and having the support of women going through the same trials and tribulations of parenting can be invaluable. Thanks to the WTE forums, a bunch of ladies due in June of 2015 got and stayed together via a Facebook group. Our forum has become that village for many of its members.
WTE June 2015 is large, incredibly tight-knit community of 1500 mothers who have created deep and meaningful bonds. Though we are comprised of mothers from around the world, we meet up in real life, text and call, send birthday gifts, etc. We have come together in times of great joy and unfortunately great sorrow.
When a mother reaches out during hard times, this group of amazing women band together in support. May through June unleashed unthinkable tragedy upon three of our members:
Kyle, the young father to June Bug Liam, husband to Momma Christine, and dedicated Hampton firefighter, lost his battle with cancer. 1/3rd of raffle proceeds go towards the continued support and honor being sent their way as our young momma deals with having her husband watching over her family instead of by her side. Check out Kyle's video, "A Young Firefighter's Story About Cancer":
https://youtu.be/FME-QrMlrBsMomma Ashley gave birth to her unexpected June baby Javarian, or SuperJ, as he came to be known in our tribe. He fought his whole life, defying the odds by surpassing the 4 days of precious life he was originally given and celebrated his first birthday. We humbly supported Ashley during her prolonged stay at the Ronald McDonald house as she loved unfaltering on him. Ultimately, Javarian's lungs were unable to support his growth, and he went to watch over his family from above.
1/3rd of the raffle proceeds go towards honoring June Bug, Javarian, as the superhero he was.Our tribe lost another June bug shortly after his first birthday. An adorable little boy whose face we knew and loved in pictures. We never dreamed those would be temporary. While his mother grieves quietly and is not ready to talk about her completely unexpected and inexplicable loss, it has rocked the group, and we stand united.
The final third of raffle proceeds will go to our hurting momma, her family, and June Bug Gabriel's precious honor. The day to day support we offer each other goes so far beyond our tribe's charitable efforts. Our group is not for the faint of heart; it is filled with passionate, caring, loving, generous and protective women. Though individually we may not be able to make much of an impact, collectively, we can move mountains. Clearly, someone knew our group was meant to do just that for these three mommas.
