Help Us Help Our Hounds!! The Basset Hound Club of America Foundation is looking for a home for - Paco The Carousel Basset Hound!

Paco is a Vintage one - of - a- kind carousel basset hound! He was generously donated to BHCAF by basset hound breeder / judge Diane Malenfant - Beaujangle Bassets. Paco was given to Diane by Barbara Dunning - Bar-B Bassets - who won him at a raffle in the 1970s. He is a very special dog and he can be yours!

Paco sits on a 53" metal pole on a wooden base - the poles are covered in brass sleeves. He is constructed of hand painted wood and measures 38" long x 29" tall x 12" wide. He is the perfect basset for enthusiasts and art collectors.

This awesome dog and piece of basset history will be on display at the 2016 Basset Hound Club of America National Specialty - October 3 - 7 at Purina Farms. The drawing for Paco's lucky winner will take place on Friday, October 7 at 9:00pm. Tickets are $20, 3 for $50 and 8 for $100. The first 100 ticket purchasers of $50 or more will receive a commemorative Paco 1 1/2 inch Lapel Pin. Paco will only be shipped within in the United States via UPS ground - BHCAF will cover up to $150 in shipping costs. Any shipping charge over $150 or change of shipping method will be the sole responsibility of the winner.

The Mission of the Basset Hound Club of America Foundation (BHCAF)

To inform and educate the public about Basset Hounds as well as other breeds of dogs;
To assist in furthering the understanding of the diseases, genetic defects, injuries and other ailments that afflict Basset Hounds and other breeds of dogs;
To promote and assist the development, publication and distribution of educational materials about the proper care, treatment, breeding, health, development and training of Basset Hounds;
To promote the rescue, rehabilitation and placement of displaced Basset Hounds.
