My name is Tesa Sturman and my husband Steve and I are lifelong Alaskans. We have been married for 13 years and choose to live and raise our three children on the Kenai Peninsula. During my reign as Mrs. Alaska I will be traveling around our state volunteering and sharing my platform - ORGAN DONATION. 8 years ago we lost our oldest son Seth when he was only 3 years old, but his legacy continues to live on. He donated his heart to a little boy in Oklahoma, his liver to a little boy inn Texas and his kidneys to two adults. He forever changed 4 lives and the lives of their families. During my year as Mrs. Alaska I want to share Seth's story and hope to encourage others to make a difference and BE A DONOR!
