Two hybrid bicycles valued at $1670 are being raffled to benefit the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail (LVRT). When completed the trail will be New England's longest rail trail -- extending 93 miles across northern Vermont from St. Johnsbury to Swanton.  The LVRT is a four-season, multi use recreational trail for hikers, cyclists, horseback riders, snowmobilers, cross country skiers and more.

33 miles of the trail are already open -- 17.4 miles from Jeffersonville in the town of Cambridge to Morrisville and 15.4 miles from West Danville to St. Johnsbury.  In the spring and summer of 2017, a new bridge will be constructed over the Lamoille River in Cambridge Junction and the following year, trail construction of the section from Swanton to Sheldon Junction will commence.

The Vermont Agency of Snow Travelers (VAST) is partnering with the Vermont Agency of Transportation to complete construction of the LVRT. The goal for our Capital Campaign is to raise $5 million for the construction and maintenance of the trail.  Thanks to a generous donation from Earl's Cyclery & Fitness in South Burlington, the funds raised from raffle ticket sales will go to the Campaign for the LVRT.  Only 500 tickets will be sold.

The Prize

    An 8.3 DS 19", 8 speed men's bike
