Second Wind Hoops (SWH), is a non-for-profit organization founded to provide basketball instruction to at-risk youth or those living in impoverished environments both internationally and domestic through our More Than Basketball (MTB) clinics. SWH is the product of three former athletes, Krystal Beachum, Angela Lewis and Erica Smith, who decided to give back through their shared love of basketball and the youth. MTB will focus on helping young people develop the skills they will need to be successful in all facets of life while developing future leaders. Through basketball, participants will learn the importance of being courageous and stepping out of their comfort zones, develop the confidence needed to chase all their dreams, learn persistence and learn their dreams will take hard work. We believe the skills you learn in sports, prepare you for life and we want to share these skills with young people all over the world.
