HOPE FOR THE HOLLIERS

In October 2013, local Wollongong mother Stacie Hollier was 11 weeks pregnant with her fourth child when she was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia.  Fortunately, Stacie was able to postpone treatment whilst pregnant, and went on to have a healthy baby girl, Rivah in April 2014.

Sadly, when Rivah was just 6 months old, Stacie’s husband Rodney passed away suddenly following a severe asthma and heart attack, tragically witnessed by their children.  Just three days later, Stacie underwent the first of many courses of chemotherapy to combat her Leukaemia.

Initially, the doctors at Wollongong Hospital saw a positive response, but in recent months her Leukaemia developed very aggressively and haematologists diagnosed Stacie with Terminal Richter’s Syndrome (a rare complication of CLL). 

Despite fighting her illness bravely, Stacie passed away on Monday 28th November 2016.

Stacie has four beautiful children, Chanse (17yrs), Breeze (13yrs), Brando (11yrs) and Rivah (2.5yrs) who have suffered the devastating and heartbreaking loss of both their Mother and Father.  There is no doubt that Stacies loving and close-knit family will move mountains to ensure that Stacies children will have a wealth of love, strength and support now and in their future.

NZAB Promotions International are fundraising not just to raise financial and emotional support, but also to give Stacie, her children and her family some extra HOPE.  There is also a 2016 NYE fund raising event that you can purchase Raffle tickets for, and all monies raised will go directly to the family to help provide for each childs future.

It is with great sadness that we announce that Stacie Hollier has passed away, but we will use that great sadness as an even greater inspiration to honour Stacie's memory and beautiful spirit, and continue to give her children hope and support for the future.
