Tidewater Arts Outreach (TAO) was founded in 2003 to enhance wellness through the arts for people with special needs. Through training, advocacy and outreach, TAO ensures artists, caregivers and community volunteers have the tools and resources they need to create a variety of experiential arts programs for elders and others.  Tidewater Arts Outreach and its participating artists have provided more than 2,500 arts-related outreach and education programs, workshops and events, impacting thousands of participants, caregivers, family members, artists and volunteers annually.  Providing opportunities for creative self-expression have been shown to complement clinical care and to have significant intellectual, psychological, physical and emotional benefits.  Our programs serve area veterans, elderly, children in hospital, moms and kids in domestic violence shelters, and many of the area's elderly and disabled who spend some or all of their time in dependent care locations.  Here's a

The Prize

  • PRS CE 24 in Vintage Sunburst

Since the dawn of rock and roll, the snap and response that comes from a bolt-on neck guitar has been an essential part of the mix. These attributes have become essential to many players trying to tell their story through music.  The CE 24 pairs PRS’s traditional body combination of the mahogany back and maple top with a bolt-on maple neck and rosewood fretboard. The neck sports a Pattern Thin carve and satin nitro finish for a natural, addictive feel. To further maximize the guitar’s inherent tone and clarity, the CE 24 features PRS 85/15 pickups, which Paul designed to have remarkable clarity as well as extended high and low end. The electronics consist of a volume and push/pull tone control with 3-way toggle switch for a total of six classic sounds.

The original CE was introduced in 1988 and offered players PRS design and quality with the added snap and sparkle of traditional bolt-on guitars. Returning after nearly a decade of being out of the lineup, the CE 24 is back and better than ever.  Check out this video about the guitar, featuring Bryan Ewald.

All proceeds benefit Tidewater Arts Outreach, a Hampton Roads, VA non-profit whose mission is to enhance wellness in people with special needs, through the healing power of the arts.  We're training, mentoring and empowering area artists, caregivers, loved ones and volunteers to bring the many wellness benefits of arts engagement to people who live daily with challenges stemming from crisis, disability, infirmity and more.  Find out more at TidewaterArtsOutreach.org.
