Tales of the Cocktail® is humbled to unveil a bottle of 1983 O.F.C. Bourbon Whiskey--one of only 50--as a raffle item for our nonprofit. This rare whiskey cannot be purchased in stores or found behind the counter in bars, making it highly collectible; some bottles have sold for $10,000. Tales of the Cocktail® received this generous donation from Buffalo Trace’s philanthropic program, and all proceeds from the raffle will go towards the New Orleans Culinary and Cultural Preservation Society. Since 2008, the NOCCPS has invested more than $886,000 into programs such as the Cocktail Apprentice Program, a tuition reimbursement program, the Apprentice medical aid fund, educational scholarships and a new health and wellness program for members of the hospitality industry.

Raffle tickets will be on sale until Midnight CST on March 10th. Each raffle ticket will cost $40, and a set of three tickets can be purchased for $100. We hope you enjoy this opportunity to obtain an exclusive bottle of whiskey, as well as the chance to give back to the spirits industry.

WE ARE CAPPING THE RAFFLE AT 250 TICKETS.

More information about the O.F.C. whiskeys can be found here, at Buffalo Trace’s website.

Tickets can only be purchased by those 21 or older. The winner will be required to send a photocopy of their valid government issued ID. Shipping to USA only.

The Prize

  • 1983 O.F.C. Bourbon Whiskey

The Buffalo Trace Distillery has produced top-quality bourbon since 1870, when it was known as the “Old Fashioned Copper Distillery.” To commemorate their esteemed beginnings, Buffalo Trace has released a limited set of 200 bottles containing 90-proof whiskey distilled from 1980-1983. A glossy wooden display case, bearing a copper plate with the year of distillation, reveals the bottle from behind a revolving door. The bottle, fashioned after an early 1900’s O.F.C. decanter, is just as striking as the display case--and its contents are unrivaled.
