Society of Petroleum Engineers Evangeline Section is raffling off one Beretta A300 Outlander Semiautomatic shotgun to help fund the Children of Evangeline Section Scholarships and SPE Evangeline Section Science Grants.
The scholarships are awarded for the spring and fall semesters to children of Evangeline Section members to assist with college expenses.
The SPE Evangeline Section Science Grants are given annually to assist local schools to support the education of the lower to middle education level in the positive aspects of the petroleum industry or related sciences.
This raffle is open to the public.
Winner will be notified on November 3.
The winner will need to arrange for picking up the prize in Lafayette, Louisiana.
SPE is a not-for-profit professional association whose members are engaged in energy resources development and production. SPE is a key resource for technical knowledge related to the oil and gas exploration and production industry, and provides services through publications, events, training courses and online resources at www.spe.org. Income from SPE events and services are invested back into SPE to support many other society programs. The mission of SPE is to collect, disseminate and exchange technical knowledge concerning the exploration, development and production of oil and gas resources, and related technologies for the public benefit; and to provide opportunities for professionals to enhance their technical and professional competence.

Prize will be ordered through Dave's Gun Shop on Kaliste Saloom in Lafayette once the winner is selected to ensure handedness is correct.
