Hi Everyone! My name is Haley. I am 18 years old and currently live in Oklahoma. In May, I will be graduating from high school. As I entered my final year of high school, I began to contemplate what I wanted to do next. I have the opportunity to go to college, but I felt like for me, there was something different. I prayed for guidance and direction for the next stage of my life. I have a passion for children, a servant's heart and really enjoy fitness and exercise, so I really wanted to do something that would allow me to focus on these strengths.
Then, one day it happened! I was presented with the opportunity to go to India for 5 months. I thought to myself, India, that is 8000 miles away from home, how can I do this? The answer is through prayers and support and knowing that I will be with people that will guide, teach and direct me. Actually, the family that I will be staying with has known my family for over 20 years. This opportunity will give me a chance to learn about another culture, as well as continue educational and spiritual journey.
My fund raising goal for journey is $12,000. This amount will cover my travel, medical, room & board and any other financial needs I will have.
