Further to this, did you know that our region has so far produced 5 Junior Australian girl’s representatives – without a real junior pathway?
Hunter Women's Rugby Union has begun a journey to foster and support Junior Female rugby players, by starting a Junior Seven's pathway for girls from 13 to 18. Girls now have access to weekly competition and training that prior to 2017 they never had.
Without a local competition, our players are forced to compete in Sydney or in invitational competitions across the state (and even country!)
We are attempting to make this opportunity as equitable as possible, and accessible for all players. In it's infancy, we are seeking to raise funds through this amazing raffle to lower expenses for families across the board.
With support from National and State Rugby bodies, and through some amazing local businesses, we have a huge assortment of prizes for rugby-heads and casual fans alike. Your ticket could win you one of our 20 prizes, including a signed Australian Women's jersey or Waratah's jersey.
