ALL PROCEEDS from the Roots + Wings Community Raffle will go toward our Community Arts Initiative, which works to make art accessible to people in all communities across Asheville. We believe that through the power of creativity and community collaboration we can enhance public access to art and design education in Asheville’s underserved communities, as well as build inclusivity throughout Asheville.

Since Roots + Wings' inception in 2009, we have had the immense pleasure of nurturing creativity in students of all ages, and observing the amazing benefits that an education founded in creativity offers. As the years have passed and we have seen tangible positive differences in the lives of our students, we are more motivated than ever to share the opportunity of creative expression and learning with the greater Asheville community. We believe that art and design can be used as more than just as a tool to enhance the life of an individual—we believe it has the power to promote unity and inspire hope among Asheville's diverse population. 
To succeed in our vision of creating a stronger community through art, The Roots+Wings Community Arts Initiative is currently in the process of providing arts education programming to multiple local organizations at no cost. We are working to bring monthly art and design programming to various Asheville afterschool partners and nonprofits. We are also reaching out to the general public through free all-ages workshops and Community Making Labs at many local businesses and neighborhoods in which we welcome people of all ages to create art without limits using various art and design mediums and methods. 

Your participation in this raffle will help to spread creativity and inclusivity among our beautiful community. The raffle prizes have all been donated by Roots + Wings instructors, family members, and community members.
