My baby (not-so-baby anymore) was just invited to a soccer try-out in Manchester, England -- HIS DREAM COME TRUE!!
We just found out about this yesterday. It is a little bit sudden and a whole lot expensive....especially for this single-mom already on an extremely tight budget.
He has been so in love with and dedicated to the game since he started kicking a ball when he was barely two years old. The only way we could get him to hold still long enough for a portrait was to let him hold a soccer ball and he has never stopped showing us his commitment, hardwork and unfailing dedication to the game ever since.
There is nothing more that I want in this world than to see my babies achieve their dreams and goals. I don't want my financial limitations to hold him back and I will do whatever it takes to help them get there.
I am hoping by reaching out to friends, family, colleagues... ...EVERYONE.....and pooling resources together we can all help make Adriano's dream come true and in turn, as our token of gratitude, I want to give everyone who is willing to help a chance to WIN BIG! We are still finding out and finalizing details as this opportunity was presented to us quite suddenly. I think he will be leaving on/around July 23rd so that is the date I will set as the end date for the fundraising which doesn't give us much time. I will be sure to keep everyone posted with updates on the trip and how the fundraising is going.

UPDATE....the latest news as of July 20th....
As the invitation to Manchester, England was received with such short notice for such a BIG EVENT, our Coach has decided he will postpone Adriano's tryout to the January invitational date so that he can delve even deeper into mental, physical and technical training to be 120% prepared for such a huge opportunity.
DON'T FRET!! We will still go ahead with the 50/50 Draw as planned and promised. The help is still VERY MUCH NEEDED AND APPRECIATED!!!!
We will be holding on to the funds raised and using them specifically for his trip to ENGLAND in January trip -- this being a HUGE HELP.
Having the extra time will not only help Adriano's preparation but will also help this Momma prepare mentally and financially for a proper trip. It is only a few months away now!!
THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH for all the help, love, support and generosity. I am truly overwhelmed and can't thank everyone enough.
In the meantime, Adriano will be very busy as he prepares for the big England event in January with other exciting try-outs coming up more locally over the next few months: Toronto FC, Kansas City, Chicago Fire as well as a new CSL team being put together later next year.
So proud of my baby and all his hardwork and overwhelmed with gratitude for all the love and support.
