• 120VAC OAV Wand

  This is a 120vac Oxalic Acid Vaporizer to treat your colonies with OA vapor to kill Varroa Destructor Mites. It draws a total of 3 amps for heating on 120V A/C power. Use of a 400 watt inverter or small generator or if your apiary is close to 120V outlet may be used. It has about a 5-10 minute heat up period but once it comes up to operating temp the treatment time per hive is 20-30 seconds.
  The outlet is 1/4" tubing so a small 1/4" drilled hole in either the hive body or better is to use the bottom rim of your bottom board and drill a 1/4" hole for insertion. Once done treating a stick,pencil stub or 1/4" dowell rod may be used to reseal the opening. 
  The bees are not disturbed at all using this wand as compared to the Varrox or Heilyzer or similar wand that has to be shoved into the hive entrance.
  The device is hand made here in Brazoria County.
  OAV treatment for Varroa is one of the better ways to treat with over 90% kill.
