Thank you so much for your participation in the GIFT BOX of GIFT CARDS Raffle for Kruz and Paizley!
Here is the story of K & P from their parents, Jessica and Kyle: Out of 200 types of dwarfism, our children are the first siblings in the country with the rarest type called Schimke Immuno- Osseous Dysplasia (SIOD). This is a fatal genetic disease with a life expectancy not past 10 years old. Kruz and Paizlee will never get much bigger than they are now, but being a little person is the least of our worries. This disease affects all organs and blood vessels. It was a miracle we found out so early about this disease as past cases had kidney failure or a stroke before diagnosis. We have a small window of time to make a difference in SIOD. As parents we want to do everything possible to give our children the best chance at life! To hear you have to raise an insane amount of money to be able to save your children, It's absolutely devastating! We can not imagine losing our only children because we could not raise enough money in time. They are our world and have given us a new perspective on life. Research has started and promising. We are ready to see this fight through for our children and the other SIOD children! We just need so much help.
We have $410,000 at Stanford for research. Someone is activly working on research everyday. Certain tests are needed that cost big money. We will need to send $30,000 MONTHLY to keep research supplies and saleries funded on the timely manner we need to get Kruz, Paizlee and the other SIOD patients to see clinical trials for possible treatment options. Our goal is to provide a breakthrough for SIOD and open doors to unmarked territory for other areas of disease. Kruz is in complete kidney failure with Paizlee right behind him. Please join our fight and help the children with SIOD. www.kruznforakurefoundation.com
