Our Mission The Simple Foundation's Youth Academy serves as a catalyst to capture the attention of at risk refugee/immigrant, and lower-income/inner-city youth to engage in a variety of strategies to improve health outcomes, academics achievements, character development, and community service.
TSF Youth & Soccer Academy utilizes soccer programming as the catalyst to capture youth’s attention and to deliver multifaceted resources and programming in an effort to increase academic performance, prevent and reduce unhealthy outcomes including negative encounters with law enforcement, and violence and victimization. By offering soccer as an after-school activity, not only are youth outside exercising, positive relationships are built with volunteer mentor coaches including teachers. Through these built relationships, support services are implemented to increase school performance, reduce negative encounters with law enforcement, and develop personal and social skills.
The Simple Foundation’s Youth Academy Participants engage in our Soccer for Success, an evidence-based group-mentoring program designed to combat childhood obesity and foster character development. Trained coach-mentors engage children for 90-minute sessions, while creatively teaching nutrition education and critical life skills through soccer instruction.
Refugee Youth Forum Participants' ages range between 6-17 yrs. and includes boys and girls from multiple countries (Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, Ghana, Congo, Karen, Burma, and Togo). Discussions focus on bullying prevention, culture integration, hygiene, support resources, education, and peer pressure.
The Simple Foundation Hunger Initiative Participants and their families receive food on an as needed basis. Recently, this program has collaborated with Heart Ministries to expand the program to NE and SE geographic locations in Omaha with the highest poverty rates.

We are in need of two vans to transport youth from Northeast and Southeast Omaha to various programs throughout the year. We are looking to purchase two 15-Passenger vans. This would allow the Simple Foundation to expand our program throughout Omaha.
