The Prize
Dreamcatcher Canoe
The articulate craftsmanship of this prize is no small feat. Hand-fabricated from oak, clear yellow pine and maple woods, this single-person craft is both sturdy and agile. The stringers, ribs and stems are all hand-tied with artificial sinew. The construction has been reinforced with bamboo dowels - making it tough as nails, while maintaining the integrity of the light-weight design.
Weighing-in at 26 lbs, these "Dreamcatcher Boats" handle like a melody over water, glide with elegant speed and can be maneuvered with ease. The skin is a ballistic nylon, coated with a two-part polyurethane which was specially-designed for skin-on frame boats
