PowerKnights Booster Club Inc supports the Team 501 PowerKnights FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) Team consisting of students from several high schools, including Manchester West High School and Goffstown High School. The approx. 30 student members and 15 adult mentors have competed regularly since the team’s inception in 2001 within the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) FRC https://www.firstinspires.org/robotics/frc and will be competing in the New England District during the 2018 FIRST Robotics Competition Game - FIRST® POWER UP events in Waterbury, CT and Durham, NH. The team builds a robot in 6-weeks and then competes with other high school level teams throughout the district for a chance to qualify for the FIRST Championship in Detroit Michigan to compete against other teams from across the world!
The PowerKnights Booster Club is comprised of team members’ parents that volunteer their time and skills in order to subsidize travel and lodging costs for FRC competitions through fundraising and community awareness events and to also provide opportunities to teach skills such as leadership, safety, business and management. The PowerKnights Booster Club truly believes in the Together Everyone Achieves More mindset and is passionate about providing opportunities for our youth to participate in the FIRST Robotics program.
