Mexico was struck by various earthquakes last September. The state of Oaxaca was severly affected by these natural disasters, where entire communities lost their homes overnight, but mostly their means of subsistence, which, among other things, staggered economic activity.

Una mano para Oaxaca was founded by local community members to re-activate the local economy of the Istmo region.

They have managed to re-build bread ovens —one of the main economic activities in the region— and have also focused on strengthening Zapotec identity through workshps and activities in the communities of Ixtaltepec, Unión Hidalgo, Juchitán and Comitancillo, among others.

The  raffle will take place on February 2nd 2018!
