Whether you know a lot about Alzheimer's Disease or not, it is something we ALL need to be aware of. There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK, with numbers set to rise to over 1 million by 2025. This will soar to 2 million by 2051. Alzheimer's disease is the most common type of dementia, affecting 62 per cent of those diagnosed.
At some point in our lives we will all be affected by Dementia in some way; whether it be ourselves, our friends or family members.
The research for Dementia is still immensely underfunded. Research helps to find treatments to relieve symptoms, and hopefully a cure for the future.
