Hogs for the Cause is a non-profit organization that hosts an annual music and BBQ festival to raise money for pediatric brain cancer outreach services. Each year over 80 teams will compete to be crowned the Louisiana Pork Champion. While teams battle it out on the grill, music will be playing throughout the day and into the night. The party starts Friday April 5, 2025 at 3:30pm with live music that goes on all night. Saturday April 5, 2025 events start at 11:30am and sees the competition, public sampling and even more music!

Our first prize is a very popular smoker (Apache) valued at $4000 and kindly donated by Black Warrior Smokers (www.blackwarriorsmokers.com). This is one of their more popular outdoor cooking units. It comes equipped with an expanded metal wood box, firebox, reverse flow smoker barrel, vertical smoker/warming cabinet, and a propane burner. This entire unit is built in house. It has a square tube trailer frame that is sitting on a 3,500 pound axle. The entire unit is painted with a high temperature paint rated for 1,000 degrees. This unit requires a 2” ball and a standard 4 pole light hook up.
