The President of the New Centurion Club,Fred Slayden, was elected at Rebekah Assembly in March 2018 for the 2018-19 year.
His emblems are Mickey and Minnie Mouse, his traveling guides are his Service Dogs, Sable and Arie, his voting signal will be a dog bark. His colors are that of the rainbow đ so all are included and nothing left out!
Fredâs goals this year are to raise funds for child care at Assembly in case itâs needed. If not used, the proceeds raised during his year will go to send a Youth member on the I.O.O.F. Pilgrimage for the Youth. This is a once in a lifetime experience for a young adult to travel across our great country and experience and see all the wonderful sites, places, attractions, and educational experiences along the way while building friendships that will last a lifetime.
As is customary Fred will host a meeting at Grand Junior Lodge and Theta Rho Assembly in June and then preside as President in March 2019 at Rebekah Assembly. At Assembly there will be a luncheon honoring our President, officers and members. Please plan to attend for a special âauctionâ for a special Mickey and Minnie Mouse item. Throughout the coming year Fred will be selling raffle tickets for the drawing which will be held at session in March 2019. Tickets are $1 each or 10 for $5 (SUPER DEAL)!!!! Pictured here are some of the Raffle items. There will also be figurines of Mickey and Minnie Mouse that will be included in the raffle. These figurines are being handpainted by Sister Kimberley Penney. Additionally, Fred will have a MaryKay basket to be given away in June and a 2nd one to be given away in March 2019. He hopes that this will increase ticket sales as a result of the âticket SUPER DEAL pricingâ and the give aways at the June Grand Junior Lodge and Theta Rho Assembly. More prizes to be added during his year as President.
The New Centurion Club is open to all Rebekah Members in good standing with Lodge dues paid. To become a member of the New Centurion Club the dues are $1 per year due at time accepted as a member and subsequently $1 each year due in March.
You can purchase tickets through the donate now button and indicating you wish to purchase tickets and your name will be placed on the tickets and put in for the drawings. We are doing this on Facebook for the first time and would like you to know that 100% of the money donated for tickets or otherwise will be given to the Presidentâs Projects. Facebook does not charge us any fees since we are a nonprofit organization under the I.O.O. F. Umbrella.
