Falling for Heroes, the series by author Eryn LaPlant, is all about celebrating heroes of every kind from superheroes to law enforcement, personal victors, a parent being a child's hero, a child being a parent's hero... Heroes come in all shapes and sizes, genders and personalities, and this is why I have teamed up with Hannah the Warrior Princess and the CABLE Project out of Drogheda, Ireland, to raise money for two more types of heroes in this world.

Hannah The Warrior Princess is a 16 year old girl with Apert Syndrome and has been in the hospital for quite some time and would love to get home. She is a hero all on her own, but the amount raised will take a lot of financial stress away from the family and will help them achieve their goals of adapting their house for Hannah's return and in purchasing wheelchair accessible van. For more information on Hannah, please visit:  https://www.facebook.com/Hannah-The-Warrior-Princess-1419434105048542/

Working with Hannah is the CABLE Project. The CABLE Project is a community based, and supported, youth development project providing a range of educational and recreational activities for young people between the ages of 12 – 17. The Project was set up in May 2008 to work with the young people in the North Drogheda area.

Since the project started in 2008, CABLE has worked with almost 300 of the most vulnerable young people in the North Drogheda area. One of the main aims of the project is to keep young people out of the court system and to date not one of the young people who have engaged in the project have ended up in the court/prison system. This highlights the impact and importance of the project. There is also the undocumented impact on those who may have been on the cusp of going down the wrong road (secondary referrals) but through support from the project have remained on the right path. CABLE has been very successful in getting young people back into education and supported them to gain certification.

Like most youth work projects, their funding has been cut and it is having a very real impact on the work that we can offer to the young people. Much of the co-ordinators time is now taken up looking/applying/administrating for funding opportunities.

Now, you ask - why Drogheda, Ireland, why not my own hometown or city in which I live? Well, for a few reasons. My next book is set in this Irish town, and the few people I've been in contact with from here have been nothing but helpful to me in my research. This is my turn to give back and help them. Secondly, I have a child that if anything should ever happen to him, I would want to have this kind of support behind him as Hannah has and what CABLE gives to their community. No matter where we live, people need help. These are the people I would like to help.

Celia Emerson lives a double life. On the outside, she is a beautiful, successful artist mesmerizing the East Coast with her mysterious works of art. Behind closed doors, however, Celia harbors a dark secret that has left her elusive and distant. However, there is one tall, dark, handsome stranger who gets her blood pumping and tangles her feelings in knots, making her consider breaking down the walls she put up around herself.

Manhattan attorney Dash Greyson is intrigued by Celia at first glance. Her quiet, private manner boldly contrasts the strokes of color and blatant emotion on her canvases. Even after her initial coolness toward him, he continues pursuing her, desperate to know more about her and how her bottled-up emotions spill onto the easel. When she turns to him as secrets of her pass begin to surface, he finds himself not only protecting her but the passion between them simmering to the boiling point.
