The Madlab Post continues bringing together people from all walks of life in Philadelphia, Las Vegas and Baltimore, to watch an international selection of short films every month during its flagship screening series — The Short Film Slam. As this showcase grows, so has the expenses of running these programs.
Your donation will fund our live events featuring films made in New York, Connecticut, Arkansas and California, Spain, Australia, Canada, Iran and The Netherlands, to name a few. Every dollar goes a long way!
Your $50 can:
• Sponsor a filmmaker and his/her work at our events for 2 months. This includes printed program guides, event calendars (mailed to members of our Madlab Film Collective four times each year) and flyers, audience ballots and guest passes at live screenings.
Your $250 can:
• Build two film exhibits at The Madlab Post to accommodate more U.S. and World travelers per visit for an entire year. In Philadelphia, most studio-led tours only have timed seats available each week, so if visitors are late, they miss out on behind-the-scenes, festival resources, and historical information about film exhibition around the world. The Madlab Post is adding video stations and gallery walls, as well as props and costume/wardrobe displays so visitors can have the option for self-guided tours at their own pace.
Your $1,000 can:
• Provide complimentary admission and refreshments for 4 dozen U.S. Military Veterans and their families. An inspiring film exchange can save lives! The Madlab Post works with Universities and regional service organizations to deliver social engagement activities to veterans being treated for depression and related mental health conditions.
