Thanks to its many supporters, AARF Animal Rescue and Sanctuary is well on its way to building a dog rescue located in Mayer on 10 beautiful, serene acres.  The cat rescue will be started at a later time.  To date we have built, from the ground up, two 3-unit dog “bunkhouses”, plus one smaller house, complete with large, fenced yards for the dogs to roam at their leisure. Please take a look at our progress in the photos below.  All of the "bunkhouses" are fully insulated and have heat/air conditioning units.  Our raffle is raising much needed funds to continue our building and our mission "Saving One by One Until There Are None."  To date, we have rescued 70 dogs and found loving permanent homes for 60.
