Rusty Menefee is an Oklahoma Game Warden who has been serving the sportsman of Oklahoma for over 22 years. Rusty’s love for the outdoors can only be matched by his love for his friends, family, and community.
In April of 2019, Rusty was given a cancer diagnosis that would break an ordinary person. The doctors soon realized that Rusty was no ordinary person, and he began to fight the battle. Rusty has now undergone 3 major open operations to remove parts of his liver and colon. He has also had 3 additional ablation surgeries. Over 20 tumors have been removed from Rusty’s body in the last 5 years. Because of all the invasive surgeries, he has also had to undergo reconstructive hernia surgery multiple times. Through the tremendous pain and recovery from all the surgery, Rusty has also been taking chemotherapy treatments. Rusty has just finished his 70th round of chemotherapy. Rusty is as tough as it gets and is undoubtedly a fighter. In the coming weeks, Rusty will undergo another surgery to go after the last remaining tumor.
The financial strain of hospital bills, travel expenses, lodging, food, and everyday bills can be extremely hard during this challenging time for this great family. Please consider helping them.
