Leslie Valencia has been a strong animal advocate in San Antonio for many years. She is a foster and volunteer for God's Dogs Rescue. On March 15 she went in for a routine procedure and experienced complications. She ended up on life support for 4 days due to septic shock. She had to have part of her left hand amputated and is still recovering from all of the wounds all over her body.
She has had several more surgeries and is now suffering from kidney disease. She is trying so hard to get back on her feet but the hits just keep coming. She has been denied several times for short term disability insurance. Leslie is going back in the hospital very soon for another surgery.
We hope this community can come together to support one of our own during a very difficult time in her life. With a little help from each of us we can make a life changing difference for Leslie. She needs these funds for future doctor appointments and basic living expenses.
