In 2011, I left Atlanta to escape a threatening situation. I drove to Ohio where I promised a job and housing. When I arrived in Ohio, the housing fell through and just like that, I had no where to go, I knew no one. I ended up HOMELESS. I was devastated. I went from hotels, to shelters, to living in my car, to sleeping on a coworker's floor. Eventually, I able to get established in a place of my own. The entire experience of starting over, and starting fresh, starting with little to nothing, was is the most humbling experience ever. I vowed to myself that one day, in some way, I would give back by helping others when devastating situations happen without warning!
Will you help me? I'm putting together care packages for children and adults who are in need of love and comfort during difficult times of homelessness or housing transitions.
