We are fundraising to win Claire an adaptive bike through The Great Bike Giveaway that is being held by the non for profit organization, The Friendship Circle.
Claire loves to feel the breeze in her hair. She also loves to spend time with her older sister. With an adaptive bike, Claire would be able to join us on bike rides throughout national parks on our camping trips and daily adventures around our town. Claire is currently non ambulatory but working on sit to stand. With the extra movement of her legs, I believe this will help build up strength in her leg muscles to enable her to become independent and eventually walk.
Claire is six years old and was born with Trisomy 18. She is non verbal, but very vocal. Claire has been through some dark times, but has shown the type of warrior she can be.
